The 4C's KBW Guidance Framework®
The 4C's guidance framework was
developed from my doctoral research into the challenges currently
being faced by organisations in implementing KBW.
The 4C's are;
- Confusion - the first
step in getting KBW off the ground is to clarify what stakeholders
really want from KBW
- Convergence - aligning
KBW strategies and practices with organisational direction
and goals
- Commitment - getting from
agreement to action and pro-active support for the KBW
programme
- Culture - developing a
'knowledge friendly' culture is essential if your KBW initiatives
are to succeed
|

|
In each of these
areas I suggest the following steps:
1. Initial assessment
process - what is your KBW potential?
2. Diagnostic
tools to locate your problem areas
3. Comparators with good practice - what would excellence
look like?
4. Proposals for change templates - your first steps
to improvemed KBW
As a result of the an assessment of your readiness,a KBW
Footprint® for your organisation is prepared. This
will enable you to prioritise and instigate initiatives to improve. A journey made simpler by the application of the KBW
Workplan® which will become your
roadmap to implementation.
