business relocation
Relocating
a newly acquired function of 43 people from Coventry to Leicester,
in the UK without losing unique and vital knowledge was the
challenge presented to Steve in 2003. This was made doubly
challenging by the fact that 20 people with key knowledge were
unwilling to move.
A staged
knowledge capture, classification, and transfer process was
proposed to ease the move. In addition to assisting the move
the Knowledge Assets developed are now instrumental in focussing
and enabling the business to hit aggressive future growth targets.
