Hi, pleased to meet you I am a knowledge evangelist....

Whenever I talk at a conference I like to be introduced as a 'knowledge evangelist'. It sets up the talk as something that will hopefully be thought provoking.

I do not usually say much about the technology side of KBW. I know it is important, and there will always be a vendor willing to sell you the latest kit that will solve all of your knowledge issues, but for me the kit is a secondary issue to the many people challenges of KBW.

That is why I focus so much on getting the people issues right.

I like the concept of the 'raging evangelist' because it is so obvious to me that improving KBW in most organisations has nothing but upside, I do though tire of having to justify it to the KBW non-believers.

Who could argue that not sharing knowledge and not rewarding people for learning and applying new knowledge are good ways to behave?

For me the KBW argument is so clear and simple that if you don't agree, you simply don't understand so contact me and let me go through it with you one more time.
